This Wednesday, November 18 from 12:00-1:30 PM, UNH IT will host a presentation on Mac’s latest operating system, Snow Leopard, in MUB Room 338. Apple Systems Engineer Mateja Miljacki will demonstrate key features of Snow Leopard, including enhanced screen recording in QuickTime, enhanced accessibility, and backend compatibility for Exchange. Cyberduck is a popular, open-source file transfer protocol (FTP) application available for Mac users. FTP programs are used to upload/download files between locations. Although there are several Mac-friendly FTPs, Cyberduck is a favorite for many Mac users due to its easy-to-use interface, ability to use secure transfers, bookmarking, and synchronization.

Mac users trying to access the UNH Web VPN (vpn.unh.edu) with Mac OS X Snow Leopard will need to make a minor change to a permissions folder and create a new directory. These two actions will restore the ability to use the UNH Web VPN.
